Being the daughter of a big-city mayor, twenty-one year old Skye Summers has giant shoes to fill in her first real job out of college. With the public spotlight on her family, and her dad’s expectations running high, she jumps at the chance to work side-by-side on an important project with her sexy new boss.

Playboy entrepreneur Landon Steele has built a successful entertainment PR firm and broken more than a few hearts along the way. He’s counting on his enthusiastic new assistant to help him expand his business into LA… until he discovers she’s a pampered rich girl who’s in the public spotlight as much as his famous clients. Still, he agrees to give her a chance, and soon the two are heating up the bedroom as well as the boardroom.

But when Skye’s ex-boyfriend threatens to reveal a dangerous secret from her past, her job, relationship with Landon, and her father’s career are suddenly all on the line. Will she be forced to leave Landon? Or will she pursue her heart, regardless of the cost?

MY SPECIAL POST: INTERVIEW WITH ELISABETH

Me: Hi Elisabeth! It's so good to have you here! Now no sweat, but I've got some questions for you.

Me: When did you start writing?

Elisabeth: I’ve loved to write since I was a little girl. My grade four teacher asked my parents to tell me that if she asked for two pages of creative writing to please just hand in two pages, not twenty. LOL

Me: What was the first piece of fiction that you wrote?

Elisabeth: I have no idea what the story was or what became of it but I can remember writing a story when I was about ten or eleven that I wanted to send to Reader’s Digest. I had high hopes I suppose! ;)

Me: Who is the first person to ever read your work?

Elisabeth: As an adult the first people to read my rough drafts were my critique partners. The first people to read a story that was pretty much through the editing process were my friends Kat and Shawna.

Me: Is there an extra special quote from your own work that you love and want to share?

Elisabeth: Oh boy! There are some but my favorites would give away some of the story because they happen at pivotal moments in the story, so I shouldn’t share them. One that I do like (and I won’t say which book it’s from so I don’t spoil anything for anyone) is, “Please. Fight. For us.” It’s simple and yet it’s someone laying it all on the line in the hopes that they don’t lose what means most to them.

Me: Do you read? Last book you finished reading?

Elisabeth: I’ve been an avid reader my entire life! I LOVE a good book!! At present I’m just finishing up Kristen Ashley’s Law Man. I love all her work and ten point five Detective Mitch Lawson is one of my favorite heros that she’s written.

Me: What's your favorite reading and/or writing spot?

Elisabeth: I always read in a brown leather chair in my living room because it faces out toward the picture window and it has a small side table close to it where I can set my drink. As for writing, I’m a bit of a nomad but I’ll end up on the cream sofa across from my reading chair most often.

Me: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Elisabeth: With any luck (and a lot of hard work), I hope to have been able to quit my day job and write for a living. I would hope that readers are still connecting with my work and that I continue to challenge myself in the stories and characters I take on. I’ll still be working on my writing craft because I don’t believe that’s ever something that you can stop trying to improve on.

Me: How do you take your coffee?

Elisabeth: I don’t! I actually don’t drink coffee at all. I love the smell of it but absolutely hate the taste of it! But I do drink tea with two sugars and three milk. ;)

Me: Which book store can a person find you strolling around?

Elisabeth: Amazon.com
That counts, right?
